Dr. KAVITA SINGH
Dr. Kavita Singh born in 1980 at Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), India. Presently works as Assistant Professor at Punjabi University, Patiala in the Department of Fine Arts. She is an art researcher, art historian, painter, poet, writer, graphics printmaker and masker maker. Winner of large number of awards and prizes, Dr. Kavita Singh is a recipient of ‘Le Corbusier Scholarship’ from CLKA. She has held more than a dozen Solo Art Exhibitions and participated in major and prestigious Group art shows in India and abroad. Her works are in collection in several art museums, art galleries, art academies, art colleges and art departments of various universities. She has written (2 books) the first is a book of poems titled- ‘An Ode To A Paper Boat’ with her paintings and poems. the other book titled -Ajj Akhaan Waris Shah Nu- A tribute to an Immortal Poem (written by Amrita Pritam)’ which has 60 drawings and paintings based on the poem. Dr. Kavita Singh has attended dozens of art seminars, conferences and artists workshops. Her paintings represents a soulful depiction of divinity in one’s mind and soul.

Artwork Discription – The pool of eternal bliss resides in our minds and hearts where in the nectar of divinity Lotus flowers blossom. Sitting by this pool human spirit can find enlightenment, true bliss, joy, hope and love. Surrender to the inner world to seek the ethereal ecstasy all woes and sorrows will vanish. Let us pray that we all discover our inner strengths as they represents the reflection of the Almighty- Omnipresent God.
